Our courthouse was remodeled in 1908 adding the six columns supporting a "false front" of the building. The interior part of our courthouse had vaults added for the Clerk of Court and the Register of Deeds and heat was installed. The cost of these new additions was $15,000.00. The architect was Frank P. Milburn and the contractor was D. J. Phillips. There have been several renovations both internal and external to our Courthouse with building additional offices on both sides. Our early building was completely remodeled in the 1960’s due to growth of county government.
